A permanent positions for an Embedded Software Engineer has been created within my clients systems group. The role will be to develop Real-Time Software for their embedded UMTS reference designs. Candidates will possess an in-depth understanding and development experience in either UMTS protocol layers for RNC, Core Network or NodeB. The successful candidate will have most of the following:3+ years of embedded software / RTOS experience.OO design and strong C / C++ programming experience.Network architecture experience in UMTS systems.UMTS protocol layers development experience.NodeB interfacing using Iub..Experience of ARM9 processor or embedded Linux is desirable but not essential.This is an excellent opportunity to join a communications systems start-up company, second to none, dedicated to supplying Integrated Circuits, Reference Designs and Intellectual Property for next generation wireless applications.
