Engine Performance AnalystOur client is heavily involved in automotive related products for On/Off Highway vehicles. With an extensive new productprogramme for a prestigious and demanding Worldwide client base, our client are seeking to further strengthen theirexisting team with an experienced Engine Performance Analyst.Job Specific Responsibilities:This position is that of an Engine System Performance Analyst for the Engine Research Europe group, based at their sitein Cambridgeshire.This candidate will develop and apply vehicle system modelling and engine cycle simulation tools to support advancedengine and fuel system controls and Virtual Product development. The candidate will implement technical deliverables forphysics based advanced engine controls and submodel improvements to simulation codes. The candidate will work closelywith internal and external partners including universities and consultants to ensure smooth integration of technologiesinto our Client's simulation tools. The candidate will also recommend, investigate and analyse improvements to thesystem, and effectively document and communicate these activities to customers and technical partners at all levels. Thecandidate will enhance, implement and validate the software tools as needed to support these analyses. Analysis andsoftware development activities will be managed using 6 Sigma tools and processes.Specific Job Requirements:Required:- A minimum BSc in engineering (MSc or Ph.D. preferred)- 2-5 years of system simulation experience or equivalent in two or more of the following areas: Engine cycle simulation,control systems, fuel injection systems or drivetrains.- Software development experience is also required.- Engine performance simulation experience is highly desirable.- Experience with engine testing and engine controls is desirable.- 6 Sigma experience is desirable.- The candidate should have demonstrated skills in analysis, detailed data manipulation, determination of underlyingsystem relationships and the appropriate selection and use of analysis tools. |
