Description:

An Engineering Manager is to be appointed to assume complete ownership of, and responsibility for the entire Engineeringfunction of a soft tissue, continuous process manufacturing plant in the North East.A mature Mechanical Engineer, likely to be from a similar background, will ideally have broad experience in managingcapital plant, budgetary controls, maintenance engineering and perhaps most important of all the ability to motivateand manage a small support team of talented Engineers.The company is a long-established and successful papermaking and paper converting business. It has generated significantgrowth in the last 5 years, and is poised to make a real impact in its own trading areas.Reporting jointly to the Operations Manager and the Managing Director, the Engineering Manager will enjoy very highlevels of management authority and autonomy.The Engineering Manager must be a committed, decisive and energetic individual, and will live within reasonable dailytravelling distance of the site, which is located in a beautiful rural setting close to Newcastle-upon-Tyne.A negotiable package, with a salary up to GBP 35000 will be offered to a high calibre individual who will have demonstrablestrengths in all the key areas described above. Other benefits will also be for discussion and negotiation.
