: You will be responsible for mechanical design and validation of engine systems and components from concept through validation and into production, to time cost and quality, and translating customer requirements into effective technical objectives in close liaison with Product Management, plan, execute & deliver. You will be required to develop and maintain activity and resource plans for all engineering tasks (design, verification, validation), and provide strict dates for drawing, tooling and production release. You will manage contract engineers, consultancies and off-site engineering services as required to deliver objectives and maintain manufacturing assembly and service procedures for engine components. You will be required to deliver ProE models, analysis and detail drawings. Qualified to degree level in mechanical engineering or related discipline, with a minimum of 10 years relevant experience. You will have a sound base engine engineering knowledge and a willingness to travel with significant experience in core principles such as fluid mechanics, heat transfer, dynamics, statics, materials; engine systems: lubrication, cooling, sealing, in cylinder, vibration & fatigue; engineering processes as design, CAD, supplier, product, and manufacturing processes, ProE modelling, detailing and analysis; design calculations (hand), the ability to define CAE inputs and derive design conclusions as well as using tools such as 6 Sigma, FMEA and 8D.
