Description:

Due to continued growth within the company they now have an exciting opportunity for a Field Ecologist to join their teambased in Gloucestershire.The role will involve conducting all levels of fieldwork at sites throughout the UK as well as undertaking Phase 1botanical surveys. Other duties will involve conducting protected species surveys (specifically bats) anddesigning/implementing mitigation strategies as well as the production and submission of DEFRA license applications,collating data and producing associated reports.Applicants must have at least a first degree in ecology and a minimum of two years consultancy experience. It is alsohighly desirable that applicants have an English Nature bat license and a Roost Visitor license. Applicants should beproficient in conducting bat surveys using associated equipment and have experience in the design and implementation ofmitigation schemes as well as knowledge of environmental legislation.
