Outline of Routine Tasks / Duties / Responsibilities: Providing 1st line on site support to our primary customer based in East Anglia. On site diagnosis and repair and Support of Communication systems including but not limited to the IntegratedCommunication Control Systems (ICCS) including.Touch Screen PC based Operator Positions.Digital Radio Network LAN based equipment with gateways to the Airwave Service.Digital recording equipment.Replacement and configuration Duplicated LAN network equipment.Diagnosis and repair of faults associated with any other communication related equipment (both Digital and Analogue).Diagnosis and repair of mobile data and voice communication systems for emergency service vehicles Once established, the candidate will join the on-call rotas responsible for supporting 24x7 contracts. Basic producttraining and regional specific training will be provided before the candidate is expected to work alone. On site representation and assistance for the Communications Support Team. The role will involve working in varied environments including emergency control rooms, electronic switch rooms and onemergency service vehicles. From time to time the candidate may be expected to assist in other regions to support other existing contracts.Essential Qualifications / Skills:* HNC or equivalent* PC Support experience (hardware and software)* Practical experience in IT network support* NT/Windows 2000/XP Knowledge* Technical radio/mobile data communications experience.* Telephony knowledge* Ability to work well under pressure* Flexibility* Customer Services experience 24/365.* Working with Critical Mission Environments.* Full clean driving licence (3 years)Desirable Qualifications / Skills:~ TETRA appreciation~ SQL Database awareness~ Integrated Command Control System operational appreciation.~ UHF/VHF Radio Knowledge |
