My client is one of the UK's leading food trading companies.Founded in the 1960's, they have a group turnover of approx GBP 160million per annum with 4 main Offices worldwide, London, which is the head office, USA, Holland and Sweden. Due to extensive work loads in the French market they now require a full time French speaking deep sea import clerk. A background in shipping is essential with a minimum 3 years experience of either deep-sea imports or RO/RO imports, experience of both being a distinct advantage. Successful candidates will have experience of & be competent in dealing with customs clearance procedures, general import procedures and tariffs. The position involves receiving bookings, liaising with overseas offices & suppliers, clearance, deliveries, releases, invoicing and liaison with all other parties concerned. An enthusiastic person is needed of smart appearance, capable of playing a major part in the efficient running of our import department. A quick, retentive mind, attention to detail and a pleasant, flexible approach to work is crucial, as is the desire to be a team player. |
