Their European Design Centre, supports the design, developmentand commercialisation of advanced LCDs for the European telecommunications and automotive markets.The Centre works with the very latest display technologies including high performance TFT System-LCDs and wide-viewtransflective displays. High volume delivery is built on the back of a recent $1 billion investment in state-of- the-artLCD production facilities. They are now looking to significantly expand the Design Centres project capabilities and havea vacancy for a high performing Display Hardware EngineerThe Display Hardware Engineer will develop, evaluate and specify all aspects of display module electronics, includingASICs, PWB circuits and panel (TFT) electronics. The successful candidate will have good knowledge of analogue anddigital board-level design, including appreciation of EMI an EMC issues. Previous experience of FPGA programming,programmable ICs and embedded software will be beneficial.The positions offer the opportunity to work in a challenging multi-disciplinary technical environment with customerinteraction and international travel. Along with a high quality engineering degree (2:1 or 1st), people, presentation andplanning skills are strongly demanded. The potential for rapid responsibility is high.
