Job Description:The Premier Travel Inn Wembley - adjacent to the new Wembley National Stadium and the Wembley Arena and InternationalConference Centre has 153 spacious en-suite rooms with power showers, air conditioning throughout and ''Crescents''restaurant and bar.We have an exciting opportunity for a Grill Cook/Chef to assist our Head Chef in the smooth running of our kitchendepartment, ensuring the delivery of Premier Travel Inn Brand Standards.The key responsibilities of the role are:1. Assist in the daily running of the kitchen to ensure Premier Travel Inn Brand Standards are maintained.2. To assist in the training and development of all team members including our 'Mission Impossible' induction process fornew starters3. Lead and motivate the team on a daily basis to assist in the maintaining of Premier Travel Inn Brand Standards4. Maximise revenues and profits through effective stock control, ordering, wastage and adherence to menu specifications5. Understand and work in accordance with all health, safety, fire and security policiesRequirements:- City and Guilds 706/1 or equivalent qualification.- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.- Previous commercial kitchen experience.- Good communication skills, written and verbal.- Be flexible in working patterns and methods.- Be able to work as part of a team.- Lead by example: be self motivated and driven for results.- Excellent personal hygiene.- Attention to detail.Responsibilities:- Maintaining temperature checks, hygienic and safe working environment.- Checking for quality and ensuring stocks are rotated.- Ensuring cooking equipment is safely and correctly used, reporting any defects.- Working as part of a team and supervising the kitchen porter/kitchen assistants.The Individual:- Satisfaction from pleasing customers.- Calm under pressure: ability to cope with busy workload.- Takes initiative: makes an effort to contribute to making the hotel a success.- Great role model: sets high standards and helps/coaches others to do well.- 'Business Savvy': commercially aware and understands the impact their work has on the business.- Hard working: enthusiastic about work and happy to take on extra responsibility where needed.- Determined to get it right: takes great pride in their work and demonstrates high personal standards with attention todetail.- Supportive: reliable, enjoys pulling together, doesn't like letting others down.Job Division: HotelsLocation: London
