My client is a major organisation within the charity sector they are currently seeking and HR Advisor to work in thier fun and lively HR team. Key responsibilties will include:-Advise and support local managers within a designated region, including scientific laboratories and retail operations, on all HR policies, procedures and guidelines. -Attend business management meetings and assist with business strategy/development.-Provide an appropriate response to general HR queries in a timely manner. This includes channelling requirements on recruitment, contract changes etc to the appropriate specialist teams.-Work in partnership with the HR Assistant and take an active role in developing and training the Assistant for the same geographical region.-Communicate HR management information to line managers to support and assist them in achieving their objectives.-Advise managers on performance and capability issues in line with the procedures and guidelines.-Advise on the application of the internal dispute resolution procedures including investigations and probation extensions. Attend hearings, grievance meetings and appeals and probation extensions. Assist with the compilation of documentation and recording of outcomes in line with HR processes.-Investigate and prepare the Charitys position in employment tribunals and all other external dispute resolution procedures.-Supervise referrals to the Occupational Health team including handling management queries, liaising with staff affected and advising line management on any issues arising from that process. Conduct welfare visits in line with the absence management guidelines and policies.-Undertake HR projects as requested.-Undertake responsibility for a designated region and customer/account manager relationships.-Support the staff consultation process, either directly through facilitation of a staff consultation forum, or indirectly by working with staff representatives on employee issues.-Maintain good knowledge and awareness of the designated region by proactively monitoring statistical information in order to identify significant changes or issues in areas such as turnover, absence levels, disciplinary activity, and to act on these observations accordingly.-Identify and provide feedback to the Development and Training team on training and development needs identified within your designated region.-Carry out individual coaching to line managers and actively participate in and support the training carried out by the Development and Training team where required.-Maintain an awareness of budget issues, the strategic direction and objectives of the functions within the designated region.-Maintain regular contact with line management, attend and contribute at relevant meetings, and aim to be part of management planning and strategy development.-Providing guidance on change management, restructuring initiatives and associated processes including TUPE and redundancy provisions and processes.-Provide support and cover to HR advisor colleagues in order to maintain the HR service.-Maintain appropriate levels of confidentiality at all times. Candidates must have:Knowledge & Qualifications-CIPD qualified or working towards it.
