: Large design consultancy seeking Human Health Risk Assessment Specialist. This is a technical role primarily undertaking quantitative human health and groundwater risk assessments following current guidelines and providing specialist advice to the contaminated land team in the office and elsewhere within the Environment Business Unit. You must be familiar with all appropriate models including CLEA, SNIFFER, RBCA and P20 and keep abreast of developments in methodologies. Principal accountabilities will be technical head of risk assessment in the north west, responsible for developing and expanding the existing team to produce pragmatic, accurate and cost effective risk assessments. Role will require close liaison with clients and regulators to ensure agreement on proposed strategies. Successful candidates will be degree qualified in Geology, Geochemistry, Environmental Science or Civil Engineering with a MSc/PhD in Geo-Environmental discipline. You will have an in depth knowledge of P20, CLEA, SNIFFER, RBCA and track record of successful negotiations with regulators with 4 years experience in contaminated land and 2 years experience in risk assessment. Confident, good communicator, able to establish credibility with peers and clients. You must be a good team player, willing to contribute to career development of more junior members of the team. |
