With a globalturnover in the region of $7billion they wish to expand their indirect purchasing team with an additional enthusiasticindividual.The Role. Provide functional customers/budget holders direction in setting spending levels. Identify opportunities for supplier training and development. Liaise cross functionally to identify opportunities for continuous improvement Develop and implement commodity strategies. Implement contracts with suppliers Assume role as primary contact for Plant and supply base local issues Adopt and implement Best In Class purchasing processes and proceduresThe Requirements An appropriate commercial business degree Experience of process changes or systems implementations. Excellent project management skills to include managing change. A proven and demonstrable track record of high level negotiations. Strong communication and organisational skills. Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
