Description:

Our client, a leading worldwide supplier of innovative processing equipment focussing on sand handling, bulk oil/water separation, and produced water & gas treatment, are currently looking for Instrumentation Engineers and Senior Instrumentation Engineers to join the team at their Montrose site. The Instrumentation Engineer position will involve the specification of field instruments (including pressure, temperature, level transmitters, field indicators, actuated and control valves), preparation of RFQs and evaluation of quotations for subsequent purchase orders, preparation of instrument hook-ups, cable schedules, instruments index, alarm and trip schedules, test specifications etc, review/approval of sub vendor documents, testing of instruments during F.A.T./S.A.T./Pre-commissioning, and site acceptance/pre-commissioning work. Suitable candidates should have a degree or HNC/HND in Instrument and Control, a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role, knowledge of front end and detailed design of control and instrumentation systems, experience of certification of instrumentation for use in Hazardous areas ATEX/CENELEC as well as North American Standards, and familiarity with hands on instrument testing/calibration checks.In addition to the above, the Senior role will involve the specification of process control systems, representation of company in client and vendor meetings, and checking and approval of instrument documents. Suitable candidates for this role will require a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role, experience of certification of instrumentation, knowledge of front end and detailed design of Control and Instrumentation systems for offshore oil and gas installation and a working knowledge of PLCs, DCS, ESD and Fire and Gas systems.
