In addition to this you will need to develop and manage an advisory central purchasing function. Promoting ownership of aprocurement philosophy throughout the organisation which demands cultural change, sets targets/outcomes and drivesefficiency savings.To implement a strategic procurement systems across the council you will need to remodel the business processes and theintegration of software systems to support a purchasing solution which accords with the aspirations and needs of theorganisation.To succeed in this role you will need to demonstrate a high level of skills within procurement at strategic levels. Yoube a natural communicator able to use your interpersonal skills to influence and engage colleagues to adopt new methodsand ideas.
