: Intermediate Buyer Construction Within the London/M25 areaOur client is one on the UKs leading construction and civil engineering construction groups, with operations andprojects throughout the UK.As part of a general expansion in their operations within the major projects division, they require a senior sub contractbuyer, to work in and around London on a day to day basis, with the scope to travel as contracts dictate.The special projects division undertake various contracts that are mainly new build and PFI in form, with works rangingfrom schools, to custody and court facilities, commercial and residential works.Projects range in value from GBP 5 million to over GBP 100 million.As the buyer, you will be working on contracts that range in value from as little as GBP 1000 to over GBP 20 million.You must be a buyer currently with a construction contractor.Experience of contract award and sub contract management of the supply chain would be a great advantage.The sub contractors are general trades and specialist contracts.If you have taken any formal qualifications such as a CIPS chartership, or any other specialist supply and purchase basedqualifications, then this will help your application, however the client is happy to provide training, including CIPSmembership and courses to the right candidate, if you do not have any qualifications currently.In return for your skills and experience for this post the client is happy to offer a very competitive salary to GBP 30 35k depending on experience, plus a company car or allowance, a pension scheme, generous holiday allowance and a healthscheme.If this profile sounds like you, and you are looking for a new opportunity within Procurement call Joanna Reber atProject Resource today to discuss this and a number of other opportunities within London and the South East.The services advertised by Project Resource are those of an agency and/or employment business. |
