My client is an ISO 9002 accredited company and the UKs market leader in the field of high performance fin drains,manufacturer and supplier of geosynthetic materials to civil engineering and construction projects.The company offers an extensive range of geocomposite drainage & gas venting layers, geotextiles, geomembranes, geogrids,retaining walls, erosion control products and asphalt reinforcement grids.My client specialises in providing environmental protection systems involving landfill lining and containment, surfacewater drainage, gas dispersal, membrane protection, cut-off trenches, leachate drainage, leak detection and erosioncontrol. Finesse systems cover a wide range of applications including Landfill, Reclamation, Highways, Bridges, BuriedStructures, Green roofs, Coastal defenses, Rivers, Playing fields, Hard and Soft Landscaping.They are currently looking to recruit an internal sales manager to work at their head office near Huddersfield, WestYorkshire.You will be responsible for:Taking responsibility for new and existing builders merchants business development. Proactively initiateing successfulnew sales opportunities within builders merchants. Responding to builders merchants enquiries. Communicating on technicalissues and increaseing sales volume in line with Merchants Policy. Fulfilling builders merchants needs and engenderconfidence in company as a supplier so as to engender repeat business. Keeping abreast of competitor information andstrategies. Keeping abreast of markets and identify opportunities for products that company can source and sell toBuilders Merchants. Cross-feeding opportunities to the other company sales personnel whenever appropriate.Major duties will involve:Contacting builders merchants by telephone to promote companies products and servicesDeveloping and managing a database of builders merchants by inputting data in accordance with proceduresFully understanding and responding to builders merchants needs by building and maintaining relationshipsProviding pricing and quotations for ABGs products, bought-in products and servicesIdentifying the most appropriate alternative products and prices when generic orcompetitor products are specifiedEntering competitors information to standard company spreadsheetsFollowing up quotations, sales leads and spot opportunities for companies products andservicesNegotiating prices and benefits to win ordersSales order processingDepartmental liaison (administration, marketing, other sales people, etc)Interdepartmental liaison (production, logistics, accounts, technical)Mailings, standard letters, samples and literature origination and dispatchProviding training and support for builders merchantsNegotiating prices and ordering of geotextiles, geogrids et al, for stock and direct to siteEnsuring personal sales targets are achieved and assist in achieving departmental targetsWorking in compliance with the Companys QA proceduresIf you feel you have the experience necessary then please do not hesitate to forward your CV.
