Description:

Inventory Manager job description1) Warehouse Locations management. Allocation of locations to new parts, review part location and re-allocate asappropriate. Location numbering.2) With purchasing identify optimum location for each part, based on sales, batch sizes, part characteristics. Managewarehouse space as sales patterns change to optimise the use of space.3) Perpetual Inventory. Manage PIT team, monitor progress and resolve anomalies. Principally for stock held at Exeter butalso for German held stock and resource for subsidiaries.4) Goods in. Oversee booking in of goods process to ensure good practice.(Note: the Warehouse Manager manages goods in staff, this responsibility is to ensure the correct methodology of bookinggoods in is followed).5) Shelf life. Manages checks and advise stock nearing expiry.6) Waste legislation Valpac, hazardous goods registration.7) Warehouse storage media, i.e. plastic bins, stillages etc.police, monitor, projections.8) Facility Management DutiesVarious housekeeping duties as allocated to maintain the running of the facility.9) Labelling in-house and externally:a) Understand label data source and refresh processesb) Understanding how to obtain resource for label design changes and applicationc) Manage the autobag (or similar) supply and data sourcing for bagging productiond) Issue and management of data sets to suppliers for off site label production.10) Warehouse management system.Day to day management of a warehouse management system (wms) and sufficiently experienced to be a lead player in theinstallation and set up of such systems. Apart from the Exeter warehouse, be a resource for subsidiaries for wms.
