Candidates should have good experience in the people and organisational issues involved with software development, including mentoring and coaching. Technically, the successful candidate is likely to have excellent Java, reasonable Perl, strong Unix, strong OO, a good understanding of Web architectures and enterprise-level RDBMS experience (pref Oracle). Specific Java experience should include much of J2EE, J2SE, JSP, Tomcat, Spring, Hibernate, JBoss, Orion and Weblogic.You should also have a good understanding of software design and architecture principles and some Unit testing experience. It will be advantageous to have experience in C or C++. You will have an understanding of successful development processes, ! and have a strong sense of best practice.
