JOB DESCRIPTION Lead EngineerDiscipline: Pipelines & Subsea Responsible to: Project Manager/Discipline ManagerDuties Technical - the ability to produce innovative, high-level engineering work on conceptual and detailed designprojects, study works and tenders or designed activities. Provide a consultative role to internal and external clientsLeadership - provides technical leadership to project teams. Provide direction to the project team with the ProjectManager, to deliver the highest technical standards. Supervision - technical direction and control of Engineers, ensuringthe team understands the technical details and key features of projects. Quality - ensuring the work is performed inaccordance with the Company quality procedures. Financial Performance - responsible for assisting the Project Managers todeliver results within the Business Stream specified targets Client Interfacing - to liase with clients on a technicallevel to ensure their needs are being met and assuring they are aware of the data input requirements to allow projects toproceed on-schedule Business Development - identify and bring to Business Stream Management attention opportunities todevelop business within or beyond projects to which they are assigned Proposals - assist Business Stream Management inpreparing proposals by providing technical expertiseQualifications: Good first degree (Upper Second) in an Engineering Discipline Post-graduate qualification in arelated discipline is desirable, although not a pre-requisiteRequired Experience/Knowledge: Minimum 10 years track record in pipeline and subsea design within project teamsDemonstrable ability to deliver efficient analytical solutions to engineering design tasks Supervisory experience andleadership of engineering personnel Specific and detailed knowledge of subsea pipelines and equipment Previous specificexperience in a similar roleComputer/Other Skills: High computer literacy with MS Office, MathCAD and other specific technical analysis packages.Other Considerations: Must be confident with good written and oral communications skills Must have ability to workeffectively under pressure Must be self motivated and have the ability to motivate and lead othersAmes Ref 2604Location Aberdeen/Newcastle/London Salary Subject experience and qualifications |
