Description:

My client is looking to recruit a Lead Test/QA Engineer for a newly established software development team. The role primarily involves designing, implementing and managing all test & verification activities for chip-based Set top box (STB) software, and managing all QA responsibilities prior to release. The role will also involve expanding/maintaining the RF & headend network infrastructure. The successful candidate will have 2-4 yrs experience of designing and implementing test & QA procedures/environments for STB software solutions. Ideally, you will also have experience with RF networks, MPEG streamers, modulators, up-converters and combiners, amplifiers and other signal integrity issues related to RF distribution. Exposure to Linux and/or VXWorks is also required. Any experience with C/C++, Clearcase and AVC standards are highly desirable. Excellent communication skills are essential, as is the ability to self-manage. You will be working closely with development teams in the UK and the US.
