If you have experience of wirings, installations, fault-finding or testing along with any other daily electrical tasksthen you could have what it takes to move into teaching.No teaching qualifications or experience is required just a desire to work in this environment. You will be provided withall the training that is required to carry out your duties along with the opportunity to gain a recognised teachingqualification such as a Cert.Ed (Certificate in Education).If you have worked with an apprentice or enjoy passing on your valuable electrical experience then this could be a greatmove for you.Teaching offers you a great career to build upon, with a structured working week of around 37 hours, long holidays upto 45 days (plus bank holidays) and of course the chance to develop yourself and make a difference in the community.Once again please remember that you do not need to possess a teaching qualification and as a qualified Electrician youwill have all the relevant accreditations and experience to become a teacher. Generally City and Guilds 236 Parts 1 & 2and 16th Edition are the base requirements along with 2391 Testing and Inspection.So if you are tired of being on your knees all day up in a loft or in that under stair cupboard please do give me a call |
