The role: Effective Logistics Management is an essential component of company's delivery of escalator maintenance andproject works. It has been proven to be the key factor in delivering fast-track refurbishment work. This post plays a keyrole in assisting in the coordination and control of this service. To deliver plant equipment and materials into and outof the works sites. To provide delivery, collection and storage within Logistics requirements. To be a source ofknowledge for the team and being involved in solving day to day logistical issues. Accountabilities: Kit Marshalling(Escalator parts) collect, deliver and store and be able to identify the different parts. Lifting Equipment Duties Collect, deliver, store and be able to identify the different parts. Collect and deliver parts to and from contractors asrequired. Ensure equipment is loaded in a safe and secure manner in order to avoid damage. Assist and control loading andunloading of the Logistics lorries to include driving all stores vehicles. Carry out a visual check of equipment andparts for any damage when delivering and collecting. Liaise with Logistics Manager and Co-ordinators to identify andprepare parts for delivery. Required skills & experience - Essential: Basic knowledge and recognition of Escalator parts.Good verbal & written communication. Experience in safe Manual Handling techniques. Slinging and banksman experience.Desirable: Some experience of Logistics support in an engineering maintenance environment. Willing to train on Fork LiftTruck and store equipment. Experience using overhead cranes. Experience in manually moving heavy and awkward loads. |
