{UK} UKLogistics Manager - UK, Ireland and South AfricaSt Neots, CambridgeshireThe Position:Within the framework of the SAC global and regional supply chain strategies, implementing and developing the Logisticsoffer in the zone, both for mainland distribution and export. Managing the carriers' day-to-day performance to improveservice and reduce costs on a continuous basis. Scope All distribution within the Zone plus all export from Zone to othercountries. Product lines Cryovac and SPD.Major Functions:* To be line manager for Poole Logistics and every finished goods logistics operation in the Zone. To be functionalmanager for internal logistics (WIP and RM) in the manufacturing plants of the zone. To make appropriate proposals tooptimize the service performance and cost of the distribution network (including warehousing and freight) within thezone.* To be the single point of contact in the zone for Global or Regional supply chain projects involving the logisticsoperations. To work with sales and customers to develop and maintain a “customer profile” list detailing allspecific major customers’ logistics requirements within Europe and work with the logistics partners todifferentiate Sealed Air by meeting these needs. To monitor the overall performance of the European Logistics Partners inthe zone in accordance with worldwide SAC metrics. To ensure that the Logistics operations in the zone are monitoringcosts.* To be the Intermediate point of escalation for distribution issues within Zone and manage the permanent resolution ofthese issues with the local account manager of the European Logistics Partners through the incident reporting process. Totrigger the escalation at European level if problem pertains.* To manage the yearly negotiation process concerning operational performance targets, management costs and rates.* To monitor health and safety in the Cryovac and SPD logistics operations of the zone.* To own the successful operation of the logistics processes. To support the deployment of the warehousing and freightmodules of Symphony. To monitor the development, implementation of other supporting IS tools.Skills and Experience Required* English Speaking (French or German beneficial)* Good functional experience and knowledge of logistics markets in the Zone.* Preferably based in St. Neots* Must have skills in project management* Ability to achieve results through influence* Positive attitude and willingness to assume responsibility for actions* Good presentation and communication skills* Must work well in multinational teamsTo apply click on the "Apply Now" button below.
