Description:

Overall PurposeTo ensure that tradesmen are gainfully employed with a considered programme of planned work that meets the efficiency andsafety requirements of the business.Key Responsibilities1.Working alongside the mechanical planner to respond to work requests and generate work orders.2.To provide technical support to the day and shift electricrians.3.To plan, coordinate and schedule electrical work with consideration to least cost and disruption. This includesscheduling maintenance activities during production periods.4.To ensure that contractors are fully aware of their responsibilities whilst working on the site. This includes a siteinduction and verification of understanding of risk assessments, method statements and verification that they arecompetent to perform electrical work.5.To ensure all electrical testing and inspection is carried out to meet the companys legal obligations.6.To review the planned maintenance programme using current industry best practice.7.Liase with other departments for the development of improved working relationships.8.Playing a pivotal role in communicating priorities to tradesmen.9.Ensure that critical maintenance records (drawings, test certificates, inspection reports) are kept up to date andaccessible.10.Playing a pivotal role in communicating priorities to tradesmen.Ensure that critical maintenance records (drawings, test certificates, inspection reports) are kept up to date andaccessible.Identify any specialist electrical training requirements for the site team.
