Market Data Software Engineer London Market Data Software Engineer required; Mandatory skills; Good working knowledge of Unix, In depth knowledge of ORC trading environments, Market Data systems experience, Strong delivery ethos, strong team-working skills and experience, Investment Banking experience, Strong Technical background/experience/knowledge required along with good Market data understanding and high quality deliverables essential. Involves the support of ORC Servers and their connectivity to exchange servers, as well as the Derivatives and Exotics traders themselves using the ORC client. Day to Day responsibilities; Support and maintenance of Market Data desktop application, the Candidate will be responsible for ensuring systems are managed and maintained to a high level. Specific requirement will be an in depth knowledge of the ORC platform connecting to such exchange gateways as Eurex, Xetra and LIFFE. Desirable; Degree standard or equivalent education / experience, Investment Banking environment, strong knowledge of ORC infrastructure, knowledge of UNIX, specifically HP-UX and Solaris, understanding of networking protocols (i.e. TCP/IP) and understanding of Network infrastructure. |
