Most ofyour interviews will be conducted using a laptop computer (equipment and training provided). Sometimes you may be askedto record the data on a paper questionnaire.If you are reliable, keen to succeed, and enjoy meeting and talking to people, then interviewing could be for you.RequirementsYou need the confidence to approach strangers without being put off by refusals, as you will usually be knocking on doorsunannounced. A sense of humour helps, and a cheery smile certainly improves your chances of getting through the door!We give plenty of advice and practice on this during training. In addition, you should enjoy working on your own, beprofessional, adaptable and flexible in your approach to work and reliable in completing work on time and to a highstandard.You will be self-motivated, keen to succeed and willing and available to work six hours per day, including evenings andweekends.This role requires you to be mobile, so you must be prepared to travel - a car is essential in most areas. All reasonabletravel expenses and mileage will be reimbursed.You will be a great communicator, keeping in regular contact with your Area Co-ordinator - the person who allocates yourwork and keeps an eye on your progress.As a new interviewer we will support you throughout a period of 8 weeks and ensure you earn GBP 50 per day (GBP 55 in GreaterLondon) assuming you work in line with the Supported Pay rules and guidelines and you achieve 67% of the volume of workundertaken by a more experienced interviewer. This will not apply if you are applying for the Radio Listening Survey onlyrole.An experienced Interviewer, working a six-hour day (including some evening and weekend work) can expect to earn from GBP 54per day upwards, depending on the area in which they are working.In addition you will be entitled to holiday pay (an additional 8.33% of your earnings) and mileage allowance is payablefor all journeys.Please supply your postal address and contact telephone number as part of your cover letter to receive an applicationpack.
