: The main role of the Marketing Manager will be to consolidate the companys position, largely by organising proper support to distributors and dealers. Other work will include maintaining good public relations, opening up new markets, and motivating under-performing distributors. The key tasks of the role are as follows:  Overseeing the UK selling activities  Supporting distributors abroad  Assessing and implementing special promotions  PR, dealing with the press, supplying supporting material  Organising all promotional material  Ensuring technical sales documentation is up to date  Co-ordinating with organisations involved with the promotion of biking  Assisting with new products The successful candidate should be educated to degree level and have a well-organised outlook and preferably have some knowledge of commercial law. An enthusiasm for bicycles would certainly be an advantage as would a working knowledge of one or more language of their export markets (Germany, Spain, Holland, France). You will also have management skills, be conversant with business and graphics software packages, be a fast learner, and you should ideally have a natural feel for technical matters.
