: Important: Management experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment Opportunity for an experienced materials control manager to join a large manufacturing group which supplies into the aerospace industry. The successful candidate will be working in a management role in an aerospace or similar manufacturing environment, probably operating as the production control manager or materials manager. This role will see them manage the materials control and stores functions by leading, developing and delegating as appropriate to meet business goals. As a senior member within the materials team this person will also deputise for the Supply Chain Manager as required. Key duties: 1.To ensure team drive to achieve 100% on time delivery of materials. 2.To ensure shop floor have at least a 95% availability of material infeed. 3.To develop and maintain best practice material management processes such as direct line feed and Kanban. 4. To lead supplier development programmes as appropriate 5.To manage day-to-day HR issues, including recruitment, PDRs, generating and maintaining high morale, maintaining and controlling attendance records, discipline, good employee relations and communications. 6.To deputise for Supply Chain Manager as necessary at business meetings, internally and with suppliers or customers. 7.To ensure processes and application of team are optimised to meet business goals.
