Reporting To: The Technical ManagerDuties and Responsibilities: Develop efficient manufacturing techniques for new parts to achieve customer requirements for component quality andrecord them. Produce and supply fully documented manufacturing techniques to the production department. Carry out methods planning activity prior to estimating. Monitor and implement engineering changes into manufacturing to ensure configuration control is maintained. Support the quality department in the generation of First Article Inspection reports. Support the production department with problem solving activities as and when required. Participate in and contribute to cost saving activities and initiatives on an ongoing basis. Support the Technical Manager and Technical Department in all their goals and activities.Personal Qualities.Suitable applicants will be motivated individuals who can display an ability to work with minimum supervision as part ofa small team in a busy, dynamic environment. They must demonstrate a mature and professional approach to work and beresults focused. Good communication skills are essential as the role requires project-plans and time-lines to becommunicated to executive management internally and customers externally.Skills and Experience Requirements.Ideally applicants will have experience in Aluminium Alloy Investment Casting technology to Aerospace standards. Theywill need to be familiar with AS9100 and AS9102 Quality Requirements, have a high standard of written and spoken Englishand be able to use Microsoft Office software. They will be able to demonstrate experience of a working environment wherepressure to achieve customer requirements is taken for granted.
