Our client seeks a Microprocessor Software Engineer to be technical authority within the Microelectronics group, with responsibility for design and development of embedded systems for mobile phone base-station equipment. You will have an honours Degree or HND in Electronic Engineering or similar and 5-years+ hands-on experience in an embedded systems design role. Excellent C/C++ programming skills, experience of implementing and interfacing to 8/16 bit micro controller and microprocessor hardware. Also experience of the following communications implementations I2C, RS-232, RS-485, CAN bus, IEE488, Ethernet etc. Experience of developing programmable Logic Design, using PLDs, FPGAs, VHDL. Proven ability to communicate at all levels. Experience of working under limited supervision, whilst self motivating to achieve set timescales and of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team. |
