Job PurposeWe are looking for a solid, highly motivated systems professional to work as part of a team to administer, support anddevelop enterprise-wide Microsoft environments. The role will entail working closely with customers on a professionallevel to provide comprehensive solutions. This role incorporates out-of hours support requirements.Key Responsibilities and AccountabilitiesEnsuring availability of customer systems and infrastructure by pro-active monitoring, maintenance and management ofsystems.Provide proactive infrastructure development support to the infrastructure, carry out agreed procedures on the supportedenvironment, provide on call support, and management reporting.Specific Skills, Experience and KnowledgeMin of 3 years commercial experience in the field of bespoke enterprise-scale IT applications/systems support. Excellentworking knowledge of Windows 2003 with Active Directory, WINS, DNS and other related services. Experience of working in acorporate environment with good customer communication skills. Good planning and organisational skills. Broadknowledge/awareness of Operating Systems, Database environments, networking and key applications.Skills Required Excellent Knowledge of core Microsoft Server Technologies Good Knowledge of Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) Good Knowledge of Microsoft ISA server MCSE 2003 desirable Able to communicate with people on all levelsDesirable skills Good Knowledge of IIS A good understanding of TCP/IP, firewall theory, and general networking. MCSE 2003 is desirable Good customer facing and communication skills |
