A vacancy exists within one of the largest financial institutions in the UK for a Mortgage Underwriter.The Role:To undewrite and manage through to the offer stage, 1st and 2nd mortgage applications based upon FML policy andestablished best practice.Key Responsibilities:To underwrite mortgage applications based upon the Future Mortgage Lending Policy. Provide a quality and compliantdecision on the application. Ensure assessment is made and the result communicated within 24 hours of receipt.Case Management:Request and issue references where applicableDaily telephone liaison with introducers, borrowers, valuers, lenders and all relevant third parties , to ensure that allsupporting documentation is received and a swift offer can be issued.Ensuring all supporting documentation is adequate, and complies with FML policy Condition, prepare and issue alldocumentationLiaise closely with the Completions DepartmentRespond to post offer queries the same day.Hours of work Monday - Friday 9.00 - 5.30.Location: SunderlandWhen replying please quote the customer reference number 620107527 for a speedy reply.
