JOB DESCRIPTION: MULTI-SKILLED ENGINEERREPORTS TO: SITE ENGINEERLIAISES WITH: PRODUCTION MANAGEMENTOVERALL PURPOSE:To conduct planned preventative maintenance on food process equipment and the manufacturing facility at a modern chilledfood plant.To effectively provide diagnostic skills to establish causation of equipment faults.PRINCIPLE TASKS1. Maintain the companys assets in good condition2. Conduct all work in a safe manner thereby ensuring a safe environment for employees and good hygiene.3. Advise the site engineer of any shortcomings with the equipment after work has been completed.4. Advise management of any safety issues which need action.5. Complete all necessary written records such as PPM, work reports etc.6. Liaise with contractors to ensure compliance with site rules7. Monitor contractors performance and advise Chief Engineer of any shortfalls.8. Liaise with other members of the engineering team to ensure effective shift handovers.Skills Competency with 3ph motor control is essential Experience with thermoforming machines and knowledge of pneumatics, refrigeration and factory services is desirable Electrical Bias Food Manufacturing experience Multi-vac/ Flow wrap experienceDesirable skills 5 years industry experience
