: One of the major players in engineering, technologies and construction services for the oil and gas industries are looking for a Naval Architect to add to their setup. The role of Naval Architect will encompass a broad selection of activities including vessel stability and hull bending. All work needs to be carried out to industry and statutory standards in a safe and cost effective manor. The successful applicant will be expected to carry out stability calculations for project teams, maintenance of the vessel stability software and documentation of the preparation of stability submissions, software models, inclining experiments, displacement checks etc. The role will involve the undertaking of structural design calculations to class requirements in support of vessel upgrades and design modifications. The Naval Architect will be expected to provide technical advice, be involved with the design of vessel modifications and upgrades, plus advise on stability and other issues. Candidates should have experience of Naval Architecture in an Offshore Environment. |
