: 15/11 Our client is one of the most high profileBroadband provider / ISP's in the UK. We are currently looking for aan I.P test engineer with a minimum of three years IP network design familiarity with Juniper M-Series routers experience to ensure that new developments, products, code releases are fully tested end to end. The primary role of the group is to design, develop, test and integrate the next generation DSL networks, working closely with vendors and operations. The initial focus will be on new build however network developments against product will become a major function of the group as the network evolve. You will ideally have a minimum of three years IP network design familiarity with Juniper M-Series routers, Broadband Remote Access Routers, Cisco routers/switches, and DSL/CPE routers. Special requirements include hands-on working knowledge of PPP, L2TP, RADIUS/LDAP, ATM, BGP/OSPF, QoS, VoIP and MPLS knowledge. All round network management experience is highly desirable with hands-on scripting ability in a Linux and Unix environment. Responsibilities Familiar with BT#s IP and Datastream products would be advantageous as would knowledge of IXChariot software. Also any knowledge of sniffers/packet . Lab management is also a responsibility, ensuring that the lab keeps up to date with network developments (both hardware and new features etc.). Arranging field trials where necessary to facilitate end-to-end testing, including systems such as provision and developing procedures for regression testing. Documentation is an important component of project deliverables. Examples are design overview, configuration guides, capacity/scalability dimensioning and so on. The group will be responsible for the evolution of the network as new products/services are introduced to ensure supportability of the platform.
