The Network Engineer will undertake and manage design and provisioning activities associated with legacy SDH networkshanded over by the Client, carrying out the following activities:* Identify all necessary information required for the satisfactory operation of the NTN* Manage design and provisioning activities for the NTN on behalf of the Client and the HA* Update all information pertaining to the NTN following activation* Support the Power/Communications Engineer in identifying network provisioning options for legacy communications systems* Support the Project Manager in delivering work packages identified in Section 3.2 aboveThe Network Engineer will have the following skills/capabilities.Essential:* Direct experience (3-8 years) in design or specification of highway traffic control and communication systems.Desirable:* Experience of radio and or SCADA-based systems,* Previous working experience with Highways Agency working practices.* Previous experience in a customer facing environment.* Experienced at working to strict time scales in which to deliver projects.
