: Network Operations Engineer to troubleshoot and provide 2nd and 3rd line technical support for large corporate customers of a pan-European ISP. You must be CCNA certified; have 2+ years experience in a troubleshooting and support in an ISP or hosting environment; and a good understanding of WAN/LAN in ISPs. With a thorough understanding of routing and the Internet, you will have a good knowledge of networks and of TCP/IP including DNS, IIS, Unix, Exchange, SQL and Backup Exec skills are useful. Certifications in CCNP, CCIP, CCSA, CCSE, GIAC or MCSE are also desirable. The role requires you to provide a high standard of technical support and customer service as part of a dedicated point of contact for corporate customers and a point of escalation for members of the team. You will be involved in problem analysis and evaluation of options for corrective action; troubleshooting and resolution of 2nd line and 3rd line issues for corporate customers; and problem solving on WAN networks (MPLS, routing, leased line, LES, ISDN and DSL). The role also provides primary support for the primary (MPlus and UKMPLS) European networks. Salary will be GBP 30K with a 15% shift allowance and other benefits. |
