Description:

The Role:To troubleshoot and provide 2nd and 3rd line technical support for large corporate customer solutions.Key Areas of Responsibility:To provide a high standard of technical support and customer service as a dedicated point of contact for corporatecustomers and a point of escalation for members of the team. Problem Analysis Able to identify problems, seek relevant data, analyse and evaluate appropriate options forcorrective action Troubleshoot and resolve 2nd and 3rd line issues for large corporate customers Problem solving of WAN networks MPLS, Routing, Leased Line, LES, ISDN, DSL, Good knowledge required Provide primary support on Pan European MPlus and the UKMPLS network. Responding to customer requests for further in depth investigation of problems and reportingThe Candidate and Essential Experience Required: Must have at least 2 years experience in a similar troubleshooting/support environment within ISP/Hosting Companyenvironment Must have CCNA certification. Thorough understanding of routing/internet concepts. Working knowledge of networks A thorough understanding of TCP/IP including DNS. A good understanding of LAN and WAN infrastructure within an ISP environment. Good understanding of routing protocolsDesirable (nice to have experience):One or as many of the following certifications/skillsCCNP, CCIP, CCSA, CCSE, GIAC, MCSE, Web IIS, Windows, Unix, Front Page, Mail issues, DNS, Exchange, SQL, Veritas back upexec.Competencies Skills Required: Ability to multi task and prioritise work Flexible and positive attitude when resolving queries Strong initiative skills and ability to work unsupervised Good Team Player Clear Telephone Manner, professional written and spoken skills Good communication skills, to be able to liase effectively with all levels across the organisation. Self motivated and proactive in looking to make improvements to enhance personal and team effectiveness.
