Business development manager, GBP 35,000 basic, GBP 60,000 OTE uncapped, pension, private health, career progression, BDM, Field Sales, electronic components, London, UK Our client has an electronic component to meet just about every need. They sells components such as semiconductors, optoelectronic devices, power supplies, and high-voltage capacitors primarily to aerospace and military customers. They also operates as a manufacturers' representative to sell specialty industrial and commercial components including displays, fuses, cables, power semiconductors, touch memory, and connectors. Further their sister offers kitting and materials procurement and management services. Due to our client growth within the industry they now seek new business development managers. Your role will involves maintaining developing new client accounts and maintaining them once you have them on board. You will be provided with leads to pursue but also be expected to generate your own from networking and lead sourcing. You will be given the autonomy to develop your own accounts from your own resources and expertise. You will be selling in to the telecom, military, consumer electronics, and aerospace industries. Training will be provided and will be ongoing. Career progression is provided for those that become successful within the company. The role is very much hands on and requires you to only report into the office once a week. To have the job you will have at least 5 years sales experiences sell electronic components preferably coming from an engineering background. You will also be well spoken, articulate and energetic. Further you will be analytical, resourceful and be able to demonstrate entrepreneur skills. You will also have a successful proven track record.
