Our client is a semiconductor and module development start up developing a novel RF / analogue product which will changethe way power consumption is managed in mobile systems.They now seek a senior supply chain individual to head up their operations / manufacturing activities. The successfulcandidate will have a background of establishing and managing third party supplier relationships, either in asemiconductor or complex board / module design environment. This will be someone who can bring a proven track record ofsaving time and money to a busy design environment. Products are already in prototype stage.The role will involve managing the transfer of products from design into production, including: Ensuring that product designs are suitable for manufacturing, including DFM, test, product and reliability issues Auditing, selecting and owning relationships with third party semiconductor / module manufacturers Defining packaging solutions Delivering commercial products to market Working with customers and vendors on identifying best technologies for addressing ongoing issuesThe successful candidate will be degree qualified, have significant third party relationship management experience, haveworking knowledge of China / Far East, and be able to operate in a fast moving, fluid start up environment.No start up is guaranteed, but in this case the company is well backed by leading VCs and has been founded by impressiveindustry veterans.
