OSS Technical Pre-sales EngineerSalary Guide: Circa GBP 60,000 Base plus Car plus package including Bonus to 65% of base.Location: London UKPLEASE NOTE A MORE DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION IS AVAILABLE ON OUR WEBSITE AT CDISEARCH.COM1.1 General Planning with Technical Services Director in Region to agree target plans on quarterly basis Account planning with salespeople to agree sales strategy for account Strong understanding of solutions oriented, network management software sales cycle from the prospecting stage throughfinal invoicing. Support project rollouts (where appropriate) so that they are successful and customer reference-ability targets aresuccessful Develop Reference customers in vertical and solutions Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction in region1.2 Customer, technologies & Market Participating in: Customer meetings and presentations POCs Demos RFP response and tracking Provide support for Large Sales Deals Ability to talk to board level members and present confidently at all management levels on a high level on technical,commercial and project management areas. Understand customers technical infrastructure, architecture and management strategies and can position solutionscompetitively to add value Able to work with customer technical and non-technical staff to gather requirements and to convert in a timely mannerrequired solutions, plans and next steps1.3 Customer Satisfaction Ensure high customer satisfaction, measured by:o monitor progress of software rollout in the customer base and escalate to partners, sales account manager or technicaldirector if customer satisfaction is affectedo awareness of critical support issues with the effective communication of the resolution plan to the appropriatecustomer contactso involvement of the advanced architecture group where appropriate1.4 Product Understanding of our clients product (details available on application clearance) and roadmap to present to customers& partners, Understand market positioning and competitive landscape Engage in all necessary and required trainingo Self study activities,o Information exchange through use of internal tools,o Proactive knowledge sharing with peers and colleagues Provide input into roadmap discussions and feedback about customer satisfaction and requirements to product managementto help develop products and solutions1.6 Project ManagementPlan, prepare and review all technical and project activity, in particular: Co-ordinate and facilitate the POC process with regional director in Sales cycles Co-ordinate and facilitate the RFP process with regional director Co-ordinate demos and presentations1.7 Teamwork Demonstrate co-operative, professional and supportive approach to colleagues Proactive knowledge sharing and feedback with all peers and colleagues2. Internal and External Communication Regular contact with key customers, prospective customers and channel partners Maintain strong relationships with Internal Business heads in all departments using regular review meetings wherepractical face to face (and at a minimum 4x per year)3. Manage own Competence4. Background/Experience:A Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience along with a minimum of 5 years working in a TechnicalPre-Sales position focusing on solution sales organisations .Working Conditions and Environment: Travel/International Travel may be necessary and required in order to meet the day-to-day demands of this position. |
