Focus New Media now have one of the biggest client bases in Bristol and are looking to recruit an experienced webdeveloper. Working in the technical team, this is a key role within the company and the right candidate will have inputand influence over the forward direction the organisation takes.Essential skills: * a background in building complex web applications with at least two years commercial web development using PHP, JavaScript and some flavour of SQL * a good awareness of web coding standards including W3C-WAI guidelines * hand code skills in XHTML and CSS * true enthusiasm for web technologies * experience of the project life cycle Advantageous skills would be project management and team leading experience, and skills in other programming languages including Perl. The right candidate will also possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and will be happy to meet non-technical clients to explain complex systems to them.
