An excellent opportunity has arisen within a regional development agency based in Newcastle. They are looking to appointa Policy Briefings Specialist Advisor to join their Policy and Research department. The agency was established in 1999and covers the whole of the North East region helping to ensure sustainable economic development.The role will involve providing executive and research support to the Director and colleagues. This will involveidentifying and providing support material, writing briefings, attending meetings, creating presentations, writingletters and ensuring all necessary individuals and teams are informed of relevant information and events. Small-scaleresearch, through sourcing key documents, checking press reports and biographic information, maybe required to supportall the above-mentioned functions.The ideal candidate will be of graduate calibre and have 1 to 2 years relevant experience within an economic developmentor policy environment. Extremely good communication and organisation skills are essential. A good general understandingof Regional and Central Government Agendas, particularly in relation to economic development, and a commitment to thissubject, is crucial. |
