Dueto continued success there is now a requirement for a Bid - Management / Pre Sales Consultant to join the team inManchester.Ideally you will have gained Bid Management / Pre-Sales experience with large PABX's / switch e.g Mitel orDefinity or Meridian or similar systems.Job description below.Job Title Bid Management/Pre-Sales ConsultantDepartment Sales & MarketingLine Manager Head of MarketingJOB PURPOSETo manage and co-ordinate the clients responses to public & private tenders and private commercial sales bids.Promote the client to Telecommunication Consultants to assure them that they are working with a company that has astructured Bid process in place. This requires working with Consultants and gaining their confidence to ensure that whenbusiness opportunities become available, the client is invited to bid.Increase the confidence of the clients Manufacturer, that we have a high quality Bid process in place, such that they areoften recommending the client as their delivery and implementation Business Partner.Escalating the success rate of 'getting on the Tender List'.Increase the rate of being short listed with our Tender responses.When an Invitation to Tender is to be responded to, create a virtual Bid Management team and be responsible for frontingthe ITT response. Opportunities may be advertised in the European Journal, often requiring us to 'pass' thePrequalification Questionnaire requirements before being invited to bid.Raise the expectation of success of the role whereby project opportunities for the clients become 'par for the course'.Following up the Tender responses means that Account Managers will need assistance with presentations, demonstrations andshortlist/clarification meetings. Many prospects prefer to liaise with the Bid Manager, believing that they have agreater understanding of their needs.RESPONSIBILITIESProduce solutions from evaluations of a customers general requirements by utilising the range of manufacturers equipment.Liaise with other companies to co-ordinate joint tender responses.System pricing Technical presentationsOrder acceptance DemonstrationsTender evaluation Product supportProduction of tender responses Evaluation of sub-contractorsKnowledge of Telephony Systems (VoIP, analogue, digital and cordless), Call Centres, Interactive Voice Response(IVR),Voice Mail, Call Management systems, Computer Telephony Integration(CTI), digital/analogue network services and Buildingwiring systems.The position is responsible for Bid Management activities in respect of complete solutions offered inclusive of allcompany products and services. This includes virtual line management responsibility for all competences, co-ordinationand management of resource allocation.
