We are wellresourced for RF design to 10GHz in terms ofexperience, test equipment and simulation tools andprovide hardware and system design for productswith a significant RF electronics content. Specificexamples include:Short range wideband/UWB radar development forautomotive and industrial applicationsProduct design and management of wideband/UWBradar-based missile test and development systemsElectronics development for positioning andlocation systems from RFID to UWB locationAntenna design to support automotive,telecommunications and sensing productsSpecific responsibilitiesSpecific responsibilities will include:Project management leadership of the team and thetechnologyDefining the most suitable systemdesign/architecture to meet the specificationWorking at all times as part of a close-knitmulti-disciplinary project team focussed ondelivering the design solution to our clientParticipating in sales meetings with clients tounderstand their requirements and demonstrateCambridge Consultants capabilityPreparing and contributing to proposals andquotationsBoard level design of RF/analogue circuits down tocomponent levelSimulation of critical componentsSupervision of schematic capture and layout work byCAD staffTest and verification of RF circuitsPreparation of data for client reviewThe ability to carry out these responsibilities asan individual and also as a team member areessential.Minimum requirementsTo meet the demanding requirements of this role youwill have an excellent first degree or postgraduate degree in electronic engineering or arelated discipline and between 5 - 10 years ofrelevant experience. Doctorates with RF designexperience will also be considered.Significant depth of knowledge and experience in atleast one of the following:Antenna design for low cost and compactapplicationsRF Design for systems operating at frequenciesbetween 400MHz and 10GHzSensor design (Analogue, RF and Microwave)RF design for automotive and aerospace environmentsEMC testingType approval standards and testing for European,US and far eastern marketsDesign for and transfer of products to volumeproductionFuture prospectsOur client is committed to developing itsemployees careers and has a flexible policy forindividuals capabilities and preferences.
