Design EngineersOur client is recognised as a world leader in the design, manufacture and sale of engine applications throughout theworld. They are looking to strengthen their product engineering team with additional contract design staff.Duties:To carry out engine component detail design working from conceptual information provided by the project team. The designwill be carried out using Pro/ENGINEER and will involve the creation and modification of models, design schemes andmanufacturing drawings.The design tasks will vary in complexity up to that of complex castings such as a cylinder head. They will embraceindividual component design, assemblies and engine systems. Active participation within the project team will berequired.Work will be carried out in accordance with the Clients quality procedures and design data must be compliant withappropriate workplace standards.Qualifications:Essential:Minimum of 2 years experience using Pro/ENGINEER for mechanical designExperienced mechanical engineer, specifically design for manufacture of complex assemblies comprising cast and fabricatedcomponentsThorough understanding of modern manufacturing methods and how these relate to drawing definition and tolerance selectionGood communication skillsPreferred:Engine design experience beneficialWildfire ExperienceInitial contract will be for 6 monthsHours - 37 Basic, Overtime available up to 45/50 hours per week |
