This position requires a metallurgical or chemical engineering graduate with at least ten years experience of eitheroperations in the hydrometallurgical non-ferrous process industry or contract engineering in the same area. Thesuccessful candidate will be able to show experience in most of the following areas: 1.Production of copper, zinc andother metals by leaching. 2.Solvent extraction. 3.Pressure oxidation, biox. 4.Gold production by CIL. 5.ProcessEngineering Design in these areas. The position requires the ability to work directly with clients to define the terms ofreference for hydrometallurgical projects, to provide input to proposal documents and to undertake hydrometallurgicalprocess work through the various stages of the design process. The engineer will be expected to supervise the work ofprocess engineers and manage the commissioning of plant within his area of design expertise. The position is based atStockton in the north-east of England but there is a requirement to undertake some foreign travel for meetings andcommissioning work.
