A large, successful, growing, Railway company is seeking an experienced Procurement Buyer. MUST have Railway experiencewith 2-3 years within Procurement Buying. The benefits are fantastic.Accountabilities include:Support the implementation of procurement policies as directed based on the Business Planning Strategy.Support the Support Services Procurement Team to ensure that Support Services deliver best in class.Input to performance feedback of suppliers and ensure it is complied withInput to the development maintenance and updating information in relation to existing vendors.Utilise all IT systems to in accordance with best business practiceEvaluate methods of extracting value from our supply chainInput to SLA as required to underpin requirementsUndertake the tendering exercise through evaluation to award as directedAssist in the development and delivery of appropriate frameworksEssentialA minimum of 2 years experience within a Procurement/Contract Management function, in a service orientated area within ademanding safety critical environment.Team leadership and mentorship.Experience of Support ServicesDetailed awareness covering the complete procurement and contract management lifecycle.Experience of Oracle procurementExperience of the supplier market and the effective application of value for money strategies and solutions.Commercial negotiation skills and an influencing leader to build constructive relationships at the highest levels withinthe company and with external suppliers.An innovative and resilient individual focused on delivering contracted supplies, works and services to the companythrough the development and installation of a procurement service at a network level.Change oriented.DesirableThird level qualification or commitment to improve professional qualifications
