Statement of AccountabilitiesGenerate the item masters in accordance and fixed templates to create product structures (BOMs) in line with the MasterRecord Indexes (MRI) and Packing Specifications issued from Technology. This will cover all products manufactured at theHighpost site.Maintain the product database in line with Engineering Change updates received from the Drawing Office. Ensure that issuecontrol is maintained throughout the product/item database in line with the Document Register maintained by the DrawingOffice.Maintain accurate product costings through the maintenance of purchase prices and cost roll-ups, ensuring that strictguidelines are followed with regard to company standard costs..Liaise with the Production Engineering department and assist in the generation of accurate labour routings. Maintainingmeaningful and appropriate Work Centres and labour times.Secondary:Assist in the development of the functionality, particularly but not exclusively, in related modules, e.g. EngineeringChange, Capacity Planning.Provide support during the creation and maintenance of the related database management activities, e.g. Hazard data,Carry out Report writing in as requested and the transfer of information to excel.If necessary assist Planning in their daily activities with regard to shopfloor paperwork and material issues.( This willnormally be only to cover holidays or due to unforeseen circumstances.)Knowledge and Experience RequiredQualification and Experience2 years experience in Product Structure and Item Database managementWorking knowledge of Computerised Inventory systems and MRPGood mathematical skills, preferably to A level.Core Skills and AttributesProven knowledge of engineering Bill of Material configurations.Interpretive understanding of MRPCommunicationAble to communicate both verbal and written at internal levels.Team Working.Able to work in cross-functional teams on a variety of work-related projects.
