Description:

Our client requires a Product Engineer qualified to PhD, MPhil or BEng (Class 2.1) in a relevant subject. You will have 2+ years experience in a product engineering role within a volume manufacturing environment. Knowledge/experience of microwave circuit design/test. Good literacy, mathematical and statistical skills. Understanding for defining test limits. Experience developing high frequency product tests. ROLE: Characterisation/product introduction of GaAs MMIC products for internal customers and the merchant market, in the frequency range 1-40 GHz, for wireless infrastructure market, mobile applications, point-to-point communications and VSAT terminals. Ownership of introduction of GaAs MMIC products in to production; Characterisation of prototype GaAs products either as bare die or packaged parts; Generate/document product test limits. Own/understand product yield/cost model during development phase.
